Thyroid Diet Recipe - Raw Veggie Wrap

Raw veggie wraps are a fantastic and easy way to get extra nutrients, antioxidants and polyphenols into your body.

These elements are critical to make the perfect thyroid diet to support your health.

I created this one with the idea of supporting your thyroid health.

The wakame is high in iodine which is used to make your thyroid hormones.

Brazil nuts are high in selenium which are needed for the metabolism of your thyroid hormones.

Coriander is a natural chelator, so it will help bind to toxins in your body and excrete them out of your body.

Pumpkin seeds are high in zinc which is needed to make your thyroid hormones.

These raw veggie wraps are gluten free and dairy free, two foods that we should avoid with any thyroid diet.

They’re an awesome alternative to breads.

I use a dehydrator but you could use an oven at home just as easily.

Ingredients:

  • 2 zucchini's

  • 1 big handful of spinach

  • 1/2 onion

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1/2 cup coriander

  • 1/4 cup Wakame

  • 1/2 cup Brazil Nuts

  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds

  • 1 tablespoon psyllium husks

Method:

Blend everything together in a food processor until it becomes a thick paste.  Use some water if needed.

Spread evenly onto baking paper, then dehydrator tray.

Dehydrate for 12 hours on 45 degrees C

Enjoy using it as a wrap, or break into crackers or croutons to put over salads.

I hope this recipe helps you in the creation of your ideal thyroid diet to support your health.
